TBS to Develop Love Triangle Comedy From 'Cheers' Alum (Exclusive)

TBS is inserting itself in a love triangle.our editor recommendsTBS Picks Up Vince Vaughn-Steve Byrne Comedy Pilot The Turner-owned cable network has ordered a script for comedy, Hot for You. The multi-camera project centers on three best friends who are caught in their own love triangle. The friends, who have opened an upstart, rebel foodie restaurant, think that they can run a business and control their appetites, but they're wrong. Cheers alum Rob Longis attached to write and executive produce the project,with married writers Rick Marin and Ilene Rosenzweig on board as scribes and co-EPs. This will be Long's second project in development at TBS. In September, the network ordered hisSullivan and Son to pilot. Thehalf-hour comedy, starring comedianSteve Byrne,centers on the legendary Pittsburgh bar, which serves as the unofficial "town hall" of the working-class neighborhood. To date, Marin is still best known for authoring CAD: Confessions of a Toxic Bachelor, while Rosenzweigpartnered with designer palCynthia Rowleyto create Swell home accessories and pen a string of Swell-themed books, including The Swell Dressed Party and Home Swell Home.
