Rock 'n' roll pearls from Oyster drummer
It was all rock 'n' roll and no bull Monday night at the preem of Magnolia's "Roadie" at the Angelika. The film follows a roadie who returns home to Queens after being fired by the Blue Oyster Cult. According to Albert Bouchard, original drummer for the Cult, the pic is accurate. He went on to regale partygoers at the Parkside Lounge with real tales of sacrilege and scatology from the road. At the afterparty, guests were also treated to a musical performance by the film's director and writers, Michael and Gerald Cuesta, and original songs by Jill Hennessy, who stars in the pic with Bobby Cannavale and Ron Eldard. - -- Alexa Harrison Contact Variety Staff at news@variety.com
